About Me

I like to write down quotes from people I admire. A recent one that struck me:

“A concept is less important than people and process.” — Amy Poehler, Good Hang podcast

Personality and other tests I’ve taken have told me I am (a):

  • Systems thinker — excels at identifying interconnections and patterns, enabling me to analyze problems holistically and develop effective, sustainable solutions.

  • DC green/yellow — expects competency from myself and others, and have little patience for people who waste time. I’m driven and I strike a balance between efficiency and quality. I project confidence in my ideas and become frustrated when others are less direct. I stand up for what I think is right.

  • INTJ (Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, Judging) — a perfectionist, with a seemingly endless capacity for improving upon anything that piques my interest. What prevents me from becoming chronically bogged down in this pursuit of perfection is my pragmatism: INTJs apply (often ruthlessly) the criterion "Does it work?”

  • High in linguistic, intra-personal, and inter-personal intelligence; low in musical and spatial-visual intelligence — i.e., I am a good communicator who understands people and myself. I cannot sing, and I’m clumsy.

Born and raised in Queens, I currently live in Long Island City with my husband and cat.

Judy Hopps, Zootopia

An eager over-achiever who cleverly outsmarts the big guys while being small and cute.

Leslie Knope, Parks & Recreation

A driven perfectionist who gets things done in an oft-challenging environment. Stands on loyalty. Frequently goofy.

Mona Lisa Vito, My Cousin Vinny

A woman from Queens who knows what she’s talking about. Principled, quick-witted, and sharp-tongued.
